The AP78Lxx series supports a wide range of fixed output voltages making them well suited for a broad
range of applications, from instrumentation to automation and most solid state electronic equipment.

Fixed Voltage Outputs:
- AP78Lxx series offers fixed output voltages from 5V, 8V and 12V.

- AP78Lxx series can drive up to 100mA of current.
Device Protection:
- AP78Lxx series has built-in thermal overload protection, which prevents the devices from
being damaged due to excessive junction temperature.
- AP78Lxx series also contains internal short-circuit protection which limits the maximum output
current.
- AP78Lxx series also offers a safe-area protection for the pass transistor, which reduces the
short-circuit current as the voltage across the pass transistor is increased.
